Course overview

This 10-hour, fully online, self-paced programme prepares experienced ICF Mentor Coaches to achieve their ICF Mentor Coach Specialization accreditation through ICF's credit-for-prior learning pathway.

Across seven modules, you'll go through the complete arc of ICF mentor coaching. You'll explore how to contract effectively, how to manage the mentor coaching process, how to give constructive feedback through formative appraisals, facilitate skill development, and support meaningful coach development in both individual and group mentor coaching. You'll integrate the ICF framework and your role within it into your ongoing practice.

Develop your skills as a Mentor Coach

Based around the ICF Mentor Coaching Competencies, we move beyond theory into the actual tools of the work, including the ICF standardized forms, and a full practice scenario - a recorded coaching session built specifically to give you material to apply your learning to - from formative appraisal through to capturing the developmental feedback.

Meet the ICF MCS requirements

The program supports experienced mentor coaches working at ACC, PCC and MCC levels. On completion, you receive a certificate documenting 10 hours of education aligned to the ICF Mentor Competencies, ready to support your MCS application via the Credit for Prior Learning Path.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

Meet the instructor

Jude Fairweather

Jude Fairweather is an executive and leadership coach, coach educator, mentor coach, and accredited coach supervisor. She brings extensive experience in coach development, including four years as a coach educator at one of the UK’s top-ranked business schools and many hundreds of hours supporting coaches through mentor coaching and coaching supervision. Her work is grounded in curiosity, reflective practice, respect for difference, and a systemic understanding of people, teams, and organisational culture. Jude is particularly interested in helping coaches deepen the quality of their practice, work more intentionally with the ICF Core Competencies, and develop the confidence, clarity, and maturity needed for impactful professional coaching.

The duration of this course is approximately 10 hours, consisting of approximately two and a half hours of recorded content, an interactive workbook for completion with activities designed to take at least six hours 40 minutes, six knowledge checks taking one hour in total and three reflective questions taking a suggested minimum of 30 minutes in total. The content is organised into seven modules.

This course is suitable for Mentor Coaches who meet the ICF requirements to apply for the Mentor Coach Specialization via the Credit for Prior Learning Path. Please check your eligibility on the ICF website directly. It is also suitable for coaches wanting to deepen their understanding of the ICF Mentor Coaching Competencies generally.
This course provides 10 hours of mentor coach education. It does not itself award the ICF Mentor Coach Specialization. It does not include ICF Evaluation Training, nor any application fees for ICF Mentor Coach Specialization.
You must be 18 or over to purchase and attend this course.
A Certificate of Completion will be issued at the end of the programme. To pass through the programme and receive a Certificate of Completion you must watch all video content, complete all reflective questions (meeting or exceeding minimum word counts), pass all knowledge checks by scoring at least 80% (unlimited retakes are available), complete all activities in the interactive workbook and submit your completed interactive workbook to the platform (unlimited retakes available).
You must complete this programme, including any applicable assessments and completion requirements, within three years of your access commencing, unless ACE agrees otherwise in writing.
You need a device capable of accessing the internet, playing video content, downloading and saving content to complete this course.
You normally have a 14-day cancellation right when purchasing online. Rebecca is a Professor in Coaching and Behaviour Change and is internationally recognised for her research on learning and development in coaching and leadership contexts. She has published extensively in leading academic journals on coaching effectiveness, alongside a second stream of research focused on equality, diversity, and inclusion, including inclusive leadership, group based learning for women in leadership, and menopause at work.

She is the author of three books, Coaching with Research in Mind, Key Topics in Coaching Psychology, and Simplifying Inclusive Leadership, which translate research evidence into practical insight for leaders, practitioners, and organisations. Outside work, Rebecca enjoys countryside walks, weightlifting, and time with her two sons. She also serves on the Advisory Board of a non profit CIC dedicated to making high quality coaching and development accessible to all.
